Privacy & Data Handling

Short version: no tracking, no ad tech, no analytics. The main thing that moves is what you send through the contact form — and the few third parties involved (the form processor, its spam check, and YouTube for video thumbnails) are spelled out below.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, it collects your name, email address, subject, and message. That gets sent to Web3Forms — a third-party form processor — which delivers it to my email. Nothing is stored on this site. I use it only to reply to you.

Spam protection (hCaptcha)

The form uses hCaptcha to keep bots out. Completing the challenge may share some technical data with Intuition Machines (the company behind hCaptcha) to verify you're human. See their privacy policy.

Video

Blog videos use a click-to-load wrapper: the YouTube player doesn't load, and YouTube sets no cookies, until you click play. Before that, the one thing fetched from YouTube is the preview thumbnail image (from its image servers), so YouTube does see your IP for that image. Press play and the full player loads, with YouTube's own cookies and policies.

Tracking

None. No analytics, no tracking cookies, no ad tech.

Your browser

The only thing stored in your browser is your light/dark theme preference — saved in localStorage, on your device. That's it.
